Goals

I need your help to bring forward these goals:

• Our Public Lands Should Remain Public.  They should not be sold to private interest for development.  Montana has a rich history of hunting, recreating and fishing.   This is the way it should remain.  I’ll carry a handful of bill to keep public lands public.

• We Need Access to Better Health Care. It’s a crisis which must be addressed.   Politicians like my self are subsidized by Montanans to the tune of $2 million over the biennium with health insurance yet we will not allow Montanans to even pool together to get cheaper rates.   This is wrong.  I advocate for the termination of politicians health insurance until a threshold of Montanans have access better health care.

• Our Property Taxes Are Too High.  For too long we have developed tax policy which targets non Montana residents. If you file Montana income taxes, your property taxes should be abated 10%.  The growth of property taxes should be capped based upon age, income or inflation.  The property tax exemption for primary homeowners should be increased.

• Montana Has the Greatest Schools in the Nation.  Great schools are in the economic best interest of our business and community.  I support capping college tuition for Montana students and increasing K-12 at risk and gifted and talented programs.
